Ravnacо has successfully completed the installation of the first helium-free 1.5T MRI system from Philips in Bulgaria, the Ingenia Ambition, at the University Hospital “St. Anna”.
The system is now operational, and the first successful examinations have already been performed. This is an important step towards the implementation of a new generation of magnetic resonance diagnostics, which combines high image quality, lower operating costs and elimination of dependence on liquid helium.
This project is the result of excellent collaboration between the team at the Ministry of Health, Ravnacо, Philips, and the specialists at St. Anna University Hospital, who together implemented the first such installation in the country.
The system uses artificial intelligence in image reconstruction to significantly reduce scan times and improve image quality. The short scanning time is beneficial for patients who are claustrophobic or in serious condition, as well as when examining children.
The benefit of faster scanning is also for the healthcare facility, because it shortens the examination time in critical patient conditions, and also allows for a higher patient flow. Improving image quality helps specialists diagnose the patient’s condition faster and more definitively.
This is just the beginning.
In the coming months, more helium-free MRI systems will be installed in various healthcare facilities in Bulgaria as part of the modernization of the diagnostic infrastructure.
We are proud to be part of the implementation of the most modern medical technologies in Bulgarian healthcare.
